About Me.
Judith Holstein is a contemporary artist who defies conventions of modern portraiture, transforming each painting into a multisensory experience. Her work, created primarily in oil and acrylic on large canvases, is often enriched with three-dimensional materials that create a profound and immersive visual impact. Judith draws inspiration from Pop Art to bring her images to life with irony and strength, where portraits of women celebrate power, beauty, and a connection with the natural world. The intense green eyes, black hair, and red lips of her subjects symbolize a vibrant female presence that almost seems to breathe through the canvas.
Since childhood, Judith has been deeply influenced by the nature around her, viewing it as an essential part of her daily life. Now, more aware that many people lack this connection with nature, she feels compelled to make it the central theme of her work: "Nature has always been there, but only recently have I started to realize how precious it is. Growing up surrounded by green was natural to me; now, I understand that, for many people, having plants as part of their lived experience is anything but ordinary." For her, nature is "the world's best designer," creating patterns and colors that not only inspire her but make her feel alive and aware.
